The Home Office operates a Priority Service what can greatly speed up your decision if you are looking to apply in a tight deadline.

Applications to UK Visas and Immigration can be lengthy, with many taking several weeks for decisions to be made. If you need your application considered quickly, the Home Office can provide a Priority Service to speed things up.

The Priority Service works differently for applicants in the UK than it does for those outside. If you are in the UK, your visa application may be eligible for the same-day premium service. This involves attending a public inquiry office and receiving your result in person.

Should you choose to use the Priority Service from outside the UK, your application will be put to the front of the line but will still take some time to be considered. For US citizens, there are nine ‘Super Priority’ visa services across the States.
