FAQs

Can I apply for a UK Work Permit in London?

Your eligibility will depend on your individual circumstances. There are several different types of Work Permit: for example, Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 5. The best route for you will depend on factors like your skillset and the type of role you take on.

Can I set up my own business in London?

If you are looking to set up your own business and you choose London as your base, you will need a Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa.

This visa type allows you to enter and reside in the UK so that you can set up or take over a UK business. This business must be viable and must benefit the British economy.

The application process for this type of visa is very complex and has a high-refusal rate. This is due to the complex ‘Genuine Entrepreneur Test’ which applicants must pass in order to get their visa.
