Immigration Lawyer

Sarah began practicing immigration and asylum law in 2009 and since then has become a highly experienced immigration solicitor, who has worked at the GMIAU, Manchester Refugee Support Partnership, Manchester CAB and now IAS.

Background

As Sarah’s first degree was in Modern History and Politics she spent a great deal of time learning about the British constitution, during which she became very interested in administrative and human rights law.

She then pursued these areas when moving on to study her Graduate Diploma in Law, in which she specialised in this area of immigration law.

Sarah carried this interest through to her career, becoming an immigration lawyer in 2009 and applying her specialised knowledge of these areas to her work.

Experience

Sarah began practicing immigration and asylum law in 2009 and developed extensive experience in the immigration/asylum, sector from then on. She previously worked at GMIAU (Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit) before becoming a member of the original Immigration Advisory Service when it was a functioning charity. She has also been the Immigration coordinator at Revive and supervises all the legal advice within the Greater Manchester Refugee Support Partnership. Alongside this, she also has an appointee-ship with Manchester City Council as an Independent Person.
