Alex Givenson

Immigration Lawyer

Alex is currently based in our Newcastle office. He joined the Immigration Advice Service in 2017, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge gained from previous positions within the legal profession and a keen interest in immigration, asylum & refugee law and policy.

Background

Alex has been an Immigration Law practitioner since 2013. Prior to becoming an Immigration lawyer, Alex was a victim support volunteer from 2009 to 2015.  He has been nominated on two occasions for the industry outstanding star award.

In his spare time, Alex enjoys a sociable life and he applies this to his role as an immigration adviser. He prides himself on his ability to offer helpful, friendly and comprehensible advice and help for all his clients. He is dedicated to immigration law and is always keen to expand his knowledge and experience in all aspects of it.

Experience

Alex joined the Immigration Advice Service in 2017, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from previous positions within the legal profession and voluntary sector. Alex has a keen interest in immigration, asylum law and policy. He has successfully assisted clients with Points-Based-System applications, Family Migration cases, Asylum and Human Right claims.

Qualifications

Alex graduated with an LLB (Hons), and an LLM degree from the University of Teesside. He is registered with the OISC and The Law Society as an Immigration and Asylum law practitioner
