The IAS Visa Wizard is the easy way to find the correct visa for you
Matthias, a German National had been travelling throughout Europe with his Nigerian wife, Gladys, for several months. They both lived and worked in Italy.
They wanted to visit the UK, but they were unsure if Gladys would be permitted entry as a result of Brexit.
They knew that Matthias would be OK with his German Passport – Gladys did not have a UK Visa, but did have an Article 10 Residence Card, issued to her by the Italian Authorities.
Because of the Referendum, they were unsure if this would permit her to enter the UK with her husband.
Matthias emailed us for clarity – he wanted to arrange a call but was worried about the cost of calling the UK from abroad.
IAS emailed Matthias back to arrange a suitable time to talk. We had arranged the call, so that it would it not cost them anything.
We had also requested a copy of Gladys’ Article 10 Residence Card.
We examined the document and confirmed that it was sufficient – we made it clear that Gladys would not need a visa as long as she entered the UK with Matthias.
Based on the information we had given them, and how quickly it was obtained, Matthias and Gladys made immediate arrangements to enter the UK.
They carried on their journey knowing that they were safe and secure.
The lawyer was very friendly and answered all my questions.
Brilliant service on our initial enquiry and call. Mary
