1: The situation

Harrison was a Singaporean National. He had studied in the UK on a Tier 4 visa and was impressed with the opportunities he had seen there.

After returning home and working for a few years, he was now in a position to return to the UK to set up his own business.

He had previously used IAS to obtain his Student Visa and contacted his previous lawyer to make inquiries about how to enter the UK as an Entrepreneur.

2: How IAS helped

We outlined the minimum financial thresholds that Harrison would have to satisfy, along with the requirements – he was particularly worried that he would have to take an English Language test as he was not sure how he could fit in the time and expense for attending lessons, revision, and sitting exams.

Our lawyer immediately confirmed that this was not necessary – he had obtained an English degree in the UK. This acted as the equivalent of an English Language certificate.

3: The outcome

Harrison submitted his application and it was successful – just like with his previous student visa, we put him in a position where everything was submitted completely and correctly, and the process was very smooth despite the complexities involved with it. Harrison is currently living in the UK and is the CEO to his own, successful, business. He also intends to instruct us to help with his Entrepreneur Visa Extension in the future.
