1: The situation

Guy is an Israeli National, who was soon to complete his course on a Tier 4 Student Visa.

He needed advice, as his visa was close to expiring and he had made plans of using his new skills to set up a company in the UK. To do this, he would need a Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa.

He had made many plans, and could not risk leaving the UK for long periods of time in case they required his attention. As a result, he also did not have a lot of time to prepare an application and submit it.

He arranged an early morning Advice Session with one of our lawyers over the phone.

2: How IAS helped

IAS assigned Guy’s case to one of our top lawyers – as Tier 1 Visas are incredibly complicated, they require specialists to take charge of this in order to maximise the applicants chances of success.

As Guy was too busy, he had forgotten to get in touch with his bank to secure a letter stating that he had immediate access to the funds he needed for investment. Without this, his application would be rejected after a lengthy process.

We informed Guy on how this letter should be formatted and worked with him and his bank to obtain the appropriate document.

3: The outcome

Guy’s application was successful and processed before his Tier 4 Visa had expired.

Without delay, he had set up his company and had begun his investment in the UK without issue.
