Visa Wizard
The IAS Visa Wizard is the easy way to find the correct visa for you
Gaston had been working in the UK for two years and decided that he wanted to stay in the UK and study.
He was unclear about the process and the requirements he needed to meet so he contacted IAS for assistance.
Given the short time he had, the lawyer worked tirelessly and was able to produce the results Gaston was hoping for. He is now living and studying in the UK.
Gaston is a National of Antigua and Barbuda, but had been working in the UK for two years – his Work Visa was shortly due to expire and his contract was not going to be renewed.
He took this opportunity to look for University Courses so that he could study and remain in the UK.
He was offered a place at a UK University – he was not sure what he had to do to change his visa so he had emailed IAS asking for help.
After exchanging a few emails, we arranged a suitable date and time for Gaston to come to our office and speak with our lawyer.
Firstly, we advised Gaston that he was permitted to remain in the UK whilst he made his application.
We then drafted a plan of action – we advised him of the timescales involved, the requirements and the documents he would have to produce.
All of this was given to him as written instructions along with our details if he needed to speak to us again.
Gaston made a successful application whilst remaining in the UK and received his Tier 4 Visa – he used this extra time to find suitable accommodation and prepare himself for his new course.
